We are seeking a highly motivated Expatriate Payroll Senior Manager to join a team in London or Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll expert to lead a team, drive process improvements and expand payroll services for both domestic and global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering a cost-effective, accurate, and professional payroll service to all clients
  • Ensuring payrolls are processed efficiently, accurately, and on time
  • Managing, mentoring, and developing the payroll team
  • Identifying business growth opportunities and working on RFI's & RFP's
  • Keeping up to date with legislative changes and ensuring compliance
  • Evaluating and improving payroll processes to drive efficiency
  • Communicating effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve queries
  • Developing and monitoring KPI performance
  • Identifying cost savings and increasing profitability
  • Leading various payroll and wider Global Mobility Services (GMS) projects
  • Strategic resource and financial planning
  • Overseeing portfolio management including compliance, risk, and client escalations
  • Managing BACS sign-off and vendor/supplier relationships
  • Recruiting and developing talent within the payroll function

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven team management and leadership skills
  • Preferably CIPP qualified
  • Experience with STAR Payroll Professional System (advantageous)
  • Previous experience in expat and modified payroll (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organisational and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Forward-thinking and proactive approach to identifying risks and issues
  • Confident, approachable, and able to lead a team through periods of change
