Temporary Team Administrator – Brighton (8 week assignment)

Your new company
A government body based in central Brighton is recruiting a Team Administrator to support their Corporate Governance team. This is an 8–week temporary position, with hybrid working (2 days/week in the office). The organisation have recently moved into new offices, with a modern and calm feel to them. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first step into Corporate Governance or to gain exposure to support at board level.

Your new role
In this role, you'll provide executive support to the governance team and Non–Executive Directors. This will mainly consist of tasks relating to diary management, Board & Committee meetings, as well as creating/updating documents and files. Key duties include:

  • Preparing and distributing agendas, maintaining team action log
  • Scheduling meetings and sending calendar invites
  • Attending board and committee meetings
  • Processing expenses
  • Updating documents & templates
  • Inbox management, responding to and forwarding emails
  • Monitoring intranet pages and SharePoint site, updating as required

What you'll need to succeed
You'll have at least 6 months previous experience in an administrative position, strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint. You'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with accuracy in everything you do. You will live in the Brighton area and be able to commute to the office 2 days/week.

What you'll get in return
You'll receive an hourly rate of GBP17.41 to GBP19.34 per hour, plus holiday pay. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. The office is located in central Brighton, close to train and bus links. On–site parking is not provided.
