Position: Executive Office Assistant
Location: Mid Sussex District Council

About the Role:

Mid Sussex District Council is seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Office Assistant to join our team. This pivotal role supports the Executive Office Manager and the Council's Management Team, ensuring the effective management of Council operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating Management Team meetings, preparing agendas, circulating papers, taking minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Office Manager in providing administrative assistance to the Leader of the Council.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Office Manager to prepare agendas for the Chief Executive’s weekly meetings with the Leader of the Council and other senior Members.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of key issues being addressed by the Cabinet and Management Team.
  • Identify and appropriately handle sensitive issues.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High levels of administrative skills.
  • Previous experience in an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant role.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • High levels of personal integrity and discretion.
