Job description

Telford & Wrekin is a high-performing, co-operative council with bold ambitions for inclusive growth and community-led regeneration. We’re now seeking an exceptional public service leader to join our senior team as Executive Director: Place.


Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will provide strategic leadership across key services including prosperity & investment, neighbourhood enforcement, and corporate communications. You will drive the delivery of our “Pride in Our Community” programme, lead on place-shaping strategy, and ensure a commercial, innovative approach to infrastructure, growth, and regeneration.


We’re looking for a visionary idea-driven leader with deep experience across complex place-based services and a track record of delivering positive outcomes in partnership with members and communities.
