Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace Wales is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to support our Managing Director & Plant Leader at the Wales Facility. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role requires a proactive individual who can anticipate needs, handle confidential information with discretion, and provide high-level administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our plant.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Managing Director, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  2. Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
  3. Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports for executive review, with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) metrics.
  4. Serve as a liaison between the Managing Director and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
  5. Manage and prioritize incoming requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  6. Organize and maintain files, records, and documentation in an efficient and accessible manner.
  7. Assist in the planning and execution of sitewide events, meetings, and conferences.
  8. Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  9. Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities within the plant, including the implementation and adherence to GE Aerospace's proprietary lean operating model, FLIGHT DECK.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the site's senior leadership team.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  2. Demonstrable experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  3. Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. High level of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate needs.
Preferred Skills
  1. Experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
  2. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  3. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
