Executive Assistant to Chief Marketing Officer

Myer is currently seeking an experienced C-Suite Executive Assistant to join our team, providing the highest level of strategic administrative and confidential operational support to our Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) as well as working side-by-side and providing additional support to the GM leadership team (LT) of the Chief Customer Officer (CCO) to maximise their effectiveness and enable them to do their best work. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the CMO to ensure the seamless execution of their duties and responsibilities to enable efficiencies, productivity, and effectiveness in delivering business objectives. You will help our Marketing portfolio stay focused on achieving their objectives and making sure their operations run smoothly.

About the role :

  • Provide the highest level of effective, dedicated executive administrative and personal support to the CMO and LT to maximise productivity, enabling them to focus on business growth, developing relationships and positioning the team for success.
  • Successfully complete a broad variety of administrative tasks for the CMO and LT including day-to-day complex diary management; mailbox management; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; compiling documents / presentations for meetings, and other tasks that facilitate their ability to effectively lead their teams ensuring the optimal use of the CMO / LTs time.
  • Multi-task and prioritise conflicting needs to effectively deliver outcomes according to deadlines.
  • Liaise efficiently with internal and external stakeholders as the Executive point of contact and maintain discretion, confidentiality, and trust.
  • Support the CMO and LT in the development and maintenance of stakeholder relationships by acting as a MYER ambassador and role model the MYER values, establishing a friendly and professional rapport with all stakeholders.
  • Lead internal communications within the Marketing team including arranging monthly town hall events and offsites as well as co-ordination of any other cross-Marketing initiatives or meetings.
  • Working alongside the EA to CCO to promote effectiveness across the wider CCO portfolio and provide additional support for wider portfolio events / offsites.
  • Other administrative duties as required including but not limited to team member onboarding, contract execution and management, providing financial management support with expense claims / reconciliation, reporting, presentation creation, invoice processing and reconciliations, FBT / Gift & Gratuity management.
  • Provide ad-hoc Executive Assistant support to the Chief Customer Officer as required.
  • Provide ad-hoc support activities hosted by the broader EA team – i.e. Myer exclusive sample sales, company events, town hall meetings.

About you :

  • 3+ years’ experience supporting C-Suite Executives.
  • EA to CMO experience preferable.
  • Experience working in Marketing and / or retail business supporting a team with multiple priorities preferable.
  • Business Administration Diploma or relevant qualification in this field is preferable.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be agile in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with sound attention to detail.
  • Articulate and confident verbal & written communication skills.
  • Creative problem solver - ability to think on your feet and find solutions to problems that are anything but clear-cut and can identify gaps and streamline processes with little or no guidance from others.
  • Act with total discretion and diplomacy and apply sound judgement in responding to circumstances.
  • Proactive can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self starter and have the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team, building positive working relationships and connections with stakeholders on all levels.
  • Passionate, approachable and leads by example.
