The Purpose
We are looking for a passionate Executive Assistant to provide high level support to key members of the Board; in a team-based role led by the Senior Executive Assistant. Must be a confident gatekeeper who is professional, diligent and dedicated in their approach to work. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, strong day-to-day organisation, planning and logistical co-ordination skills and communication management.
The Role
- Strong collaboration as a team of three members of staff, including the Senior Executive Assistant and an additional Executive Assistant, providing seamless support
- Provide comprehensive cover and support to the Senior Executive Assistant during high-demand periods such as Board visits, pre-season tours and holidays
- Support on coordination of board visits; including complex international travel itineraries, including flights, accommodations, reservations and ground transportation
- Act as a trusted gatekeeper, managing sensitive information with absolute discretion and professionalism
- Prioritise tasks and manage the team's schedule to ensure efficient use of time and smooth daily operations
- Manage the end-to-end guest experience process
- Manage the end-to-end merchandise and gifting process
- Prepare recurring deliverables, including fixture lists and communication calendars
- Respond to specific queries from the Board
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile internal and external stakeholders, representing the club with polished professionalism
- Oversee general administration including expenses, purchase orders, and invoice tracking
- Handle professional errands, both on-site and off-site, with flexibility and efficiency
- Uphold the highest standards of presentation and service, reflecting the brand and values of Manchester United
- Anticipate needs, resolve challenges proactively, and deliver to an exceptional standard under pressure
- Operate autonomously, owning responsibilities with minimal oversight while contributing to wider team initiatives
- Support discreet project delivery and identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
The Person
- Proven experience supporting C-suite executives, ideally in a structured EA/PA capacity
- Strong organisational, planning, and logistical coordination skills
- High integrity and discretion with confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including note-taking and dictation
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to perform well under pressure
- Skilled at managing workload independently while collaborating within a team
- Confident in professional interactions at all levels, with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable improving processes and anticipating needs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Hours Of Work
This role is based on a 40-hour work week. While we aim to plan working hours around the needs of the business, the nature of the role may occasionally require flexibility, including some non-standard hours. We appreciate adaptability and always strive to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
