Job description

Job Title: Unqualified Teacher (SEN)
Location: Bedford (MK42)
Rate: £90 - £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Potential long-term to permanent opportunity

We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Unqualified Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Bedford, working with learners aged 2 to 19 years with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and Profound Learning Difficulties (PLD). This is a rewarding role offering a competitive daily rate, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for learners with diverse needs
  2. Manage challenging behaviours effectively
  3. Support learners' communication needs using strategies such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable)
  4. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Key Requirements:
  1. Experience working with SEN learners in the UK
  2. Strong understanding of behaviour management
  3. TeamTeach certification (desirable)
  4. Experience with symbol communication systems such as Widgit, PCS, and Makaton (desirable)
