Reporting to: Head of Examinations-Examinations Officer
Working alongside a full-time Head of Exams – Examinations Officer, this is a part-time, term time only+, and flexibility with working hours is an essential requirement of the role. During busy examination periods (primarily in January and May/June) there will be a requirement to work full time hours across approximately 50 working days, to accommodate early starts/late finishes on exam days as exams are not limited to standard working hours.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable, have a positive attitude and an understanding of the pivotal role the examination system plays in school life. Strong organisational skills are essential, with a high level of attention to detail required, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Proficiency in IT is necessary, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook) - an advantage would be additional IT skills such as experience with exam-specific software or database management tools.
The candidate should be able to manage data efficiently and input information accurately. The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines is essential in this fast-paced environment. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is expected as the role involves dealing with sensitive information, and the candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils at all times. The Exams Administrator will also need to be adaptable, able to handle unexpected situations, and offer solutions when issues arise, all whilst maintaining a calm and professional demeanour.
