Events Waiter/Team Leader

Where will you be working?

Situated in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters, The Ned houses Ned’s Club, a private members’ space, gym and rooftop, alongside a public spa, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

What will you be doing?

  1. Our events are all high-profile, and you’ll ensure that you and our support teams provide exceptional service to our guests, delivering a memorable experience.
  2. You’ll need to have an excellent knowledge of all of our food and beverage items, and understand and operate the point of sale (POS) system.
  3. Shifts vary, but are mainly in the afternoons and evenings.
  4. To carry out set up and tear down of each event from start to finish.
  5. To ensure rooms are set up and ready, in time for guest arrival and in accordance with The Ned standards.
  6. To assist each event in accordance with the guest wishes as specified on the function sheet; this will require performing duties as waiting staff, bartender, and host.
  7. To supervise casual agency waiting staff prior to, during, and post each event in the presence of a supervisor/manager.
  8. To ensure all casual waiting staff standards and procedures are met whilst in front of house areas and back of house areas.
  9. To carry out necessary preparation in planning forthcoming functions for equipment, linen, glassware, and silver; all these tasks are performed by Team Leaders and casual agency staff.
  10. This role requires full flexibility Monday to Sunday and has late finishing times.
