Job description

Hotel: Hong Kong TST (HKGKH), 11 Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon

As the Events Service Manager for Kimpton Tsim Sha Tsui Hong Kong, you will create an exciting, innovative, and memorable dining experience for all guests. Lead a well-rounded and knowledgeable front-of-house team. Proper guest service requires a staff that is thoroughly trained in service etiquette, product knowledge, and makes every effort to meet the needs of each and every guest.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  1. Leading the set-up and execution of all banquet events and private functions
  2. Acting as the primary liaison between operations, kitchen, and event planners
  3. Ensuring all functions run smoothly on time, and above expectations
  4. Motivating and coordinating a dynamic team of banquet associates
  5. Overseeing cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards at all times
  6. Contributing to post-event feedback and performance reporting

What we need from you

  1. A minimum of 6 years’ solid experience in banquet or event service management
  2. A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, restaurant management, culinary management, or equivalent
  3. Ability to manage high-pressure events with multiple moving parts
  4. Collaborative mindset and calm leadership style
  5. Attention to detail and a passion for hosting exceptional events
  6. Strong organizational and communication skills
  7. Excellent command in both English and Chinese (Cantonese is a must; Mandarin is a plus), speaking and writing; additional language skills are an advantage
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
