Event Project Manager (Weddings)

Salary - £40,000 - £45,000

The UK wedding industry is booming, with a value of £15 billion last year and an estimated growth to £28 billion in just two years. As the business of weddings continues to flourish, so are we—set to deliver over 200 weddings in 2025 at our exclusive venue.

The question is: Can you step into the role of Event Project Manager and lead our talented team of wedding coordinators to new heights of excellence? We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive professional with strong leadership skills to guide our team and ensure every event is delivered flawlessly.

About the Role

As the Event Project Manager, you will be at the heart of all planning, ensuring the flawless organisation and delivery of every event. You’ll lead a team of Wedding Coordinators, driving exceptional service and client satisfaction. Acting as the central point of contact for all event coordination, office administration, and operational processes, you’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly from the moment a client makes an enquiry to the successful delivery of their event.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop the Wedding Coordinators. Ensure excellent communication, provide training opportunities, and manage performance to achieve a high standard of service.
  2. Event & Operations Management: Oversee the operational logistics for all events, ensuring they are executed flawlessly. Coordinate schedules, liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee a seamless event experience.
  3. Process Implementation & Improvement: Develop and maintain streamlined processes to ensure consistency and efficiency across all events, from booking to delivery. Continuously assess and improve operational workflows.
  4. Client Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring they receive outstanding service and a personalised, memorable event experience. Act as the main point of contact for event queries and communication.
  5. Compliance & Reporting: Oversee compliance with company policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards. Maintain accurate records, track key performance indicators, and generate reports to ensure operational excellence.
  6. Supplier & Partner Coordination: Manage relationships with external suppliers and partners, ensuring smooth coordination and timely delivery of all event-related services.
  7. Operational Support: Provide administrative support across the office, ensuring the smooth operation of all business functions. Oversee the scheduling of internal resources and ensure all operational needs are met.

About You

  1. Proven experience in event/project management, operations, or a similar leadership role, with a strong understanding of both team management and event execution.
  2. Excellent organisational skills and a keen attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  3. Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team to achieve outstanding results.
  4. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  5. A proactive problem solver, comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  6. Proficient in office software, scheduling tools, and CRM systems, with a tech-savvy approach to operational management.
