Our College is looking for an experienced Events Manager to lead our vibrant events calendar – ranging from stunning graduation ceremonies to strategic industry days, and from internal awards to public-facing community events.

In this hands-on role, you’ll take the lead on designing, managing, and evaluating College events, ensuring every detail reflects our values and provides outstanding experiences for students, staff, and beyond.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging events that align with our strategic priorities. From our Graduation ceremony and annual Carol Service to student awards and community events such as CyberFest, you’ll have the opportunity to create memorable moments that reflect our values and ambitions.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll work closely with departments across the College and external partners, leading on logistics, budget management, safeguarding, health and safety, and continuous improvement.

You’ll also line-manage an Events Coordinator and an Events Apprentice, ensuring our events calendar continues to evolve, inspire, and deliver.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a confident, strategic organiser with a flair for event design and a passion for people. You’ll bring:

  1. Proven experience managing high-profile events end-to-end.
  2. Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
  3. Strong leadership and line management skills, fostering high performance and professional growth within a team.
  4. A collaborative approach with the confidence to lead teams and influence stakeholders.
  5. Strong data analysis capabilities to improve impact and engagement.
  6. A positive, flexible mindset, ready to work occasional evenings and weekends when the event calls for it.

You should possess:

  1. A degree or equivalent qualification or significant relevant experience.
  2. A Level 2 Qualification in Maths and English.
  3. A professional management qualification (or be working towards).
  4. Experience in managing a wide range of events from concept to delivery.

If you're ready to lead events that shape lives and leave a legacy, we’d love to hear from you.
