The Event Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing tradeshows, webinars/virtual events, customer events, and other event types as determined by the business. The Event Manager is responsible for project management and driving results through execution of subject matter expertise.
The role is part of a high-energy, fast-moving events team – Responsible for identifying, planning, and implementing a variety of physical and digital event programs, including tradeshows, customer/partner events, product launches, thought leadership and technical sessions, media/analyst briefings, etc., as well as Cytiva’s own conferences, that will help Cytiva meet its business objectives. The position requires strong tradeshow/event/meeting planning, project management, and execution skills, as well as solid budgeting and lead tracking experience.

This position reports to the Global Events Leader and is part of the Marketing Communications organization within Global Group Marketing, working remotely to cover multiple, global regions.

What you will do:

• Responsible and accountable for the entire event life cycle of planning, implementation, and follow-up/debrief, including, but not limited to:
• Event contracting
• Event/project planning and management
• On-site event execution
• Analyzing and actioning event data
• Compliance and finance processes (IPP, OnePIA, PO submissions, vendor set up, etc.)

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
• Experienced managing tradeshows and events
• Passionately detail-oriented, meticulous, and able to work autonomously
• Ability to creatively identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for challenges while multi-tasking on multiple projects and meeting deadlines consistently
• Team player and leader who possesses strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel internationally, as required 15-35%
• Ability to lift and move 40 lb. boxes
• Sufficiently mobile to handle an extended travel schedule

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience with inventory management software such as Exhibitforce.com
• Experience and understanding of life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology industries
