Event Coordinator

Location: North Yorkshire (Travel to events required)

Department: Events

Reports To: Operations Manager / Directors

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Are you outgoing, self-motivated, and passionate about delivering unforgettable events? If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love working with people, we want you to join our team as an Event Coordinator.

We are a dynamic business known for organising exceptional events across Yorkshire, and we’re looking for a dedicated professional to help us create unforgettable experiences.

Role Overview:

As our Event Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in coordinating catering and event logistics for a variety of events, including weddings, private parties, exhibitions, and product launches. You’ll manage a portfolio of weddings while collaborating with the operations team to ensure every event runs smoothly from start to finish. This role offers a blend of hands-on event management, team leadership, and administrative duties.

This full-time position requires 40 to 45 hours per week, typically Tuesday to Saturday. There are occasional Sunday events, but these will be alternated among the team. You’ll have the chance to work in a supportive environment where no two days are the same. Whether you're coordinating weddings, private parties, or corporate events, every day brings new challenges and rewards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clients' catering details, creating detailed action plans for each event (including menu options, timelines, and venue details).
  • Lead the team on event days, ensuring efficient event setup and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Manage a team of serving staff, providing briefings before service and ensuring they deliver exceptional service.
  • Oversee event teardown, ensuring all business inventory is removed and the venue is cleared efficiently.
  • Work closely with the sales team to promote the business through social media, open days, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Assist the operations team with event preparation and packing.

What we are looking for…

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of proven experience in event coordination, with strong organisational and leadership skills that allow them to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication and customer care abilities are essential, along with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Attention to detail is a must, ensuring every aspect of the event is executed flawlessly. The role requires someone who is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines, and who holds a full UK driving license with access to a car for event travel.

What we offer in return…

  • A competitive salary from £25,000 per annum, based on experience.
  • Generous benefits, including 28 days holiday (including bank holidays). We do not work on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or Boxing Day. Sundays and Mondays are typically your days off. We offer a 4-day work week during the off-peak season (January to April).
  • Staff social events, work pension plan, and no split shifts.
  • Opportunities for professional development in a dynamic, growing team.

If you are passionate about event planning and ready to take your career to the next level, apply now to join our team as an Event Coordinator.
