Overview

Montcalm Collection are seeking a dedicated and professional Evening Housekeeper/Turndown Attendant to join our housekeeping team. The ideal candidate will play an essential role in preparing guest rooms for the evening, ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment. You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction during the evening shift.

Job Specific Duties:

  1. Thoroughly clean and service guest rooms, suites, and public areas according to the hotel’s high standards.
  2. Perform evening turndown service in guest rooms, including the preparation of beds, arranging pillows, and providing fresh linens as necessary.
  3. Ensure all amenities are replenished (e.g., water, toiletries, chocolates, etc.).
  4. Undertake “Job of the Day” or spring cleans where necessary.
  5. Respect guest privacy and ensure the “Do Not Disturb” policy is adhered to.
  6. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on hotel standards and best practices in hygiene and safety.
  7. Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth daily operations.
  8. Report any maintenance issues to Housekeeping Supervisor.
  9. Participate in the hotel’s sustainability initiatives by using eco-friendly cleaning products and following waste reduction practices.
  10. Close curtains, dim lighting, and create a calm ambiance in each room.
  11. Tidy up rooms, including light dusting, straightening up furniture, and making sure all surfaces are clean.
  12. Respond promptly to any guest requests during turndown service and provide exceptional customer service.
  13. Report any maintenance issues or damage in guest rooms to the appropriate department.
  14. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas.
  15. Adhere to all hotel policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

It is not an exhaustive list and additional tasks and responsibilities may be required as directed by hotel management.

  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  3. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects.
  4. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks related to housekeeping duties.

Essential Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Room Attendant or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or hospitality environment is preferred. Candidates must be authorised to live and work in the UK. Currently, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
