Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading multi-utility and EV infrastructure specialist, is expanding its EV division and seeking a skilled EV Installer to support the delivery of high-quality electric vehicle charge point installations. Based in London and the South East, suitable candidates must be willing to travel.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out the installation of electric vehicle charge points at commercial and industrial sites.
  2. Interpret and work from electrical diagrams, installation guides, and cable calculations.
  3. Adhere to site-specific programmes and health & safety protocols at all times.
  4. Complete and submit electrical certification using the NICEIC online portal.
  5. Maintain accurate records of works completed, identifying and resolving installation challenges.
  6. Provide updates to supervisors and collaborate with project teams.
  7. Participate in training and development sessions to enhance technical skills.
  8. Promote a positive safety culture and uphold professional standards across all projects.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  1. NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Installation or completion of an Approved Apprenticeship.
  2. 1-3 years' experience in commercial or industrial electrical environments.
  3. BS7671: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  4. Full UK driving license.
  5. JIB or CSCS Gold Card.

Desirable

  1. C&G 2919 (EV Charging Installation).
  2. C&G 2391 or equivalent (Inspection & Testing).
  3. SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
  4. Experience installing DC fast chargers (50kW-400kW+).
