EXPERIENCE NEEDED

  1. Electrical Engineering Degree / Master level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline or demonstrable relevant experience.
  2. Have a full working knowledge of relevant current Health and Safety legislation.
  3. Proven experience of working in a design and operational service delivery role in EVI or a closely related field.
  4. Registered or have the ability to register with the Highways Electrical Registration scheme (HERs) Highways Sectors Scheme 8, to maintain ongoing relevant electrical competency.
  5. Have a full working knowledge of Fifth Edition of the IET Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation, BS 7671 - 18th Edition The IET Wiring Regulations and Electric Vehicles Accessible Charging Specification - PAS 1899.
  6. Proven project management experience including supervision of professional and technical staff including the monitoring of contractors.
  7. Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop staff.
  8. Proven experience and working knowledge of current health and safety legislation appropriate to the Electrical sector, specifically Highway Electrical Assets.
  9. Relevant experience of undertaking and managing complex electrical designs and coordination with other disciplines e.g. Civils, across the full design lifecycle i.e. concept, feasibility, outline and detailed design, preferably in the EVI area.
  10. Working knowledge of costing design methodologies and design approval processes.
  11. Proven experience in the role of “technical expert” in the design of projects and/or of determining development proposals.
  12. Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications or equivalent to include: email, word processing, spreadsheets, using the internet as a research tool.
  13. Have a good understanding regarding the use of computer electrical design software and databases.
  14. Have a willingness to learn new applications and technology as appropriate.
  15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  16. Proficient in the use of cabling design software e.g. Trimble and Autocad.
  17. Demonstrates knowledge of testing and inspections per BS 7671 - 18th Edition The IET Wiring Regulations.
  18. Experienced in checking quality of site works during construction phase of projects.
