EV Charging Procurement and Partnership Manager

£50k + Car Allowance (£700) + Benefits

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic EV Charging Procurement and Partnership Manager to lead the development and optimisation of a fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) charging network. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing a comprehensive strategy that balances in-house and outsourced operations. By managing procurement processes and fostering strong partnerships, you will ensure the delivery of a seamless and reliable charging experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Evaluation:

  1. Analyse the EV charging value chain to determine the optimal mix of internal capabilities and external partnerships.
  2. Develop and maintain a robust outsourcing strategy to support the long-term vision for EV charging infrastructure.
  3. Lead tender processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations to secure the best solutions and services.
  4. Ensure that procurement activities align with operational, financial, and sustainability objectives.

Partnership Development:

  1. Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to ensure alignment on strategic goals.
  2. Act as a primary point of contact for partner engagement, ensuring collaborative success and accountability.

Operational Excellence:

  1. Design and implement a Target Operating Model (TOM) for EV charging operations, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  2. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service reliability and the overall customer experience.

Innovation and Differentiation:

  1. Identify and adopt cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches to differentiate offerings in a competitive market.
  2. Integrate ESG principles into the EV charging strategy to align with sustainability goals.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Significant experience in EV infrastructure and supply chain evaluation.
  2. Proven track record of managing complex outsourcing strategies, including tenders and supplier negotiations.
  3. Strong expertise in partner management, with the ability to drive collaboration and achieve mutual goals.
  4. Experience designing and executing operating models within a fast-paced, agile environment.
  5. Familiarity with ESG principles and their application in the EV or renewables sector is highly desirable.
