European Export Manager

Job description

Reporting into the Head of Operations, this role is a key management role within the structure of the business.

THE ROLE:

1. Leading a team of European Export/Road Transport specialists.
2. Ensuring operational delivery to European customers - specifically in the BENELUX, Germany & France regions.
3. Complete the entire life cycle of the export process from start to finish.
4. Liaise with various carriers and hauliers across Europe to deliver product to clients.
5. Completion of and management of Customs declarations - via your team.
6. Devise & support the implementation of new operational strategies across the UK & Europe.
7. Creation of solutions and delivery of projects to help grow the footprint of the business.
8. Negotiate customer rates and service levels, supplier costs, key stakeholders.

THE PERSON:

1. Strong understanding of European Road Transport.
2. Experience of delivering to BENELUX countries, Germany or France is desirable but not essential.
3. Proven experience in export management and European logistics.
4. Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
5. Experience of managing a team of European Export/Road Transport specialists.
6. Carrier Management experience is advantageous.
7. Able to think beyond the obvious.
