Location: Basingstoke – RG21

Salary: £30,000 – £34,000

Holiday: 25 days + Banks

Hours: Mon – Fri 8.30am – 17:30pm

Due to continued growth plans, we are seeking to appoint a new customs clearance professional to our friendly team at our head office in Basingstoke.

We are looking for a European Road Freight operator or customs clearance coordinator who is analytically minded with meticulous attention to detail.

The successful Customs Coordinator will have a keen eye for detail and be proficient in Import and Export customs entries/clearances.

Customs Coordinator – Requirements:

• Proficiency in UK / EU Customs regulation
• Excellent working knowledge of import and export customs procedures, primarily European Road Freight
• Strong communication skills
• Strong IT skills

Role & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export customs procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements
• Processing Import/Export customs declarations
• Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures
• An extensive knowledge of Customs Commodity Codes would be a great advantage
• Ensure all customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls
• All other duties related to the process of clearing freight/shipments through customs
• Management of the full shipping & freight forwarding process would be an advantage
