The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager at Free Bird Table & Oyster Bar in beautiful Squamish. Free Bird Table & Oyster Bar offers a unique dining experience, combining the rich, comforting flavors of the American South with the fresh, coastal charm of the Pacific Northwest. Our warm, inviting dining room and spacious patio create the perfect setting for memorable meals, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. As GM, you will play a critical role in maintaining Executive Table Group's reputation as a top dining destination in Squamish.

Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Team Development: Inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team to uphold ETG's service and brand standards.
  2. Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive and Operations Team to innovate and implement new menus, promotions, special events, and service strategies.
  3. Operational Oversight: Ensure the seamless daily operation, adhering to Five Star standards and maintaining brand consistency.
  4. Guest Experience: Lead efforts to deliver unforgettable guest experiences, ensuring loyalty and positive reviews.
  5. Financial Management: Oversee labor, productivity, and budget targets, ensuring efficient operations and revenue growth.
  6. Brand Positioning: Strengthen ETG's reputation as one of the top dining destinations in Squamish.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in senior food & beverage management in a restaurant or hotel environment.
  2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of food, wine, and spirits; Sommelier designation is an asset.
  3. Financial Expertise: Skilled in financial reporting, budget management, and revenue analysis.
  4. Leadership: Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire a team with a focus on service excellence.
  5. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with a talent for fostering relationships with guests, team members, and stakeholders.
