YorkHoist is growing! We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join our team.
The Estimator will be an individual who pays close attention to detail and can stay organized in a fast-paced work environment. In this role, you will gather information from the Territory Sales Representative, Project Management, and the Client to provide accurate quotes and the necessary labor details to Purchasing and Inside Sales for installation orders. The goal is to maintain strict project timelines that enable us to deliver turnkey solutions, supporting efficiency in our Clients' operations.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Review and process Territory Sales Packages (TSPs).
- Configure quotes for hoists, jib cranes, and gantries.
- Source steel and hardware supplies.
- Estimate and assign labor costs.
- Estimate and assign project management costs.
- Source and assign installation equipment.
- Communicate with and facilitate engineering support as needed.
- Attend pre-order, pre-installation, and post-installation meetings as required.
- Maintain and organize installation files as quotes and drawings are gathered.
- Build and nurture relationships with YorkHoist clients, both internal and external.
- Attend and contribute to weekly department meetings.
- Attend and contribute to daily project meetings.
- Assist in building and maintaining the project reference repository.
- Solicit and manage bids from third-party subcontractors as needed.
- Analyze requirement documents, scopes of work, blueprints, and project plans to gain a comprehensive understanding of all projects.
- Utilize historical project data and industry experience to estimate and cost consumable and other non-itemized materials for all projects.
- Propose new ideas for improving business practices.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external clients.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing outstanding customer service.
- Capable of working independently and completing assignments according to given instructions, established routines, and accepted standards.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- This position requires a valid driver's license with no more than two current moving violations.
- Skilled in using the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Demonstrates professionalism and strong client service when interacting with clients and vendors.
- Organized and self-motivated.
- Crane and material handling industry experience a plus.
