We are looking for an Estates Surveyor and Senior Estates Surveyor to join our Commercial, Property and Procurement Team to help manage a large and diverse portfolio of properties and projects. This is a hybrid role, with some expectation of travel across the county.
North Yorkshire Council’s Property and Land Estate is managed under a Centralised Property Function, or Corporate Landlord Model and consists of over 3,000 land and property assets over a geographical area of 3,341 sq miles. The Estates service manages a large portfolio consisting of operational offices, schools, operational buildings delivering front line services, farmland, legacy/surplus land and assets, industrial units, private residential and commercial holdings. It also works with several partners to support land and building requirements including the Police, NHS and 3rd sector organisations.
As an Estates Surveyor, you will support colleagues within the team in delivering a range of Property and Estate management functions, embedding the Corporate Landlord Model strongly within the team and the wider organisation. You will help manage property transactions, tenant engagement and management of the wider allocated portfolio.
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will be managing and supporting colleagues within the team in delivering a range of Property and Estate management functions, embedding the corporate landlord model strongly within the team and the wider organisation. You will lead, co-ordinate and manage property transactions, tenant engagement, workloads, and management of the allocated portfolio.
You will have Full RICS qualification and membership (MRICS) and relevant experience within property or estate management. You will also have good technical ability and experience in managing property portfolios, including commercial, operational and land assets.
