Job description

Estates Operations Supervisor - Building (Public Sector)

VANRATH are assisting our client, a large Public Sector Organisation, in their search for an Estates Operations Supervisor - Building for 6 months initially with the possibility of extension. This role will be based in Dundonald.

The post holder will have a responsibility for the management of specific elements of Estate operations building and engineering maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

  • To supervise and manage directly employed trade staff and external contractors on maintenance and servicing duties including Building, mechanical, electrical works, and promoting innovative solutions for continually recurring problems.
  • To allocate the best resources available including external sub-contractors and directly employed staff on various emergency and infrastructure works, in all facilities and check for completeness and quality of work.
  • To assist directly employed labour, external sub-contractors and Estates Officers to investigate and identify problems with complicated building fabric, plant and equipment and recommend the most suitable repair solution.
  • To issue and control daily work allocation to directly employed labour and external sub-contractors through the departments CAFM Systems. Keep electronic records of work allocated including date, location, details and outcomes.
  • Responsible for planning maintenance programmes for building & engineering services. This includes reviewing working procedures and practices.


Requirements

  • A recognised and registered building/construction apprenticeship or
  • NQF Level 3/BTEC Higher National Diploma/Higher National Certificate or equivalent in a building/construction or other related subject
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant post apprenticeship experience
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking tasks relating to building and engineering
  • Use of Microsoft Office and CAFM System


Remuneration
c£28,407 per annum, plus discount benefits.
