Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Estates & Lettings Manager to join a charity in Portsmouth on a part time basis.

Client Details

Our client is a large organisation with a prominent presence in the not for profit space, located in Portsmouth, they are renowned for preserving historical landmarks and offering unique experiences to visitors from around the world.

Description

Estate & Lettings Management:

  • Instruct letting agents, approve tenants, set rent levels, manage leases, and handle legal documentation.
  • Act as an escalation point for finance issues, field maintenance requests, collect ground rents, and liaise on maintenance requirements.
  • Communicate major announcements and support events and visitor operations.

Insurance:

  • Assist with annual insurance renewals and liaise with brokers for premium allocation.

Budgeting & Finance:

  • Produce annual budgets, oversee service charges, insurance, utilities, and rent collection.

Service Charges & Utilities:

  • Prepare service charge budgets, procure electricity and gas contracts, and liaise with MOD on supply.

MOD Liaison:

  • Advise on lease covenants, brief MOD on transactions, and represent PHQ interests in MOD projects.

Health & Safety:

  • Promote a positive health and safety culture, comply with policies, and report risks.

Data Protection:

  • Comply with data protection policies when processing personal data.

Profile

A successful 'Estates & Lettings Manager' should have:

  • Experience as a Estates and Lettings Manager.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategies for business growth.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory landscape of estates and lettings.

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary range of £40,500 to £45,000 per annum.
