Our Independent client operates this prestigious country estate on the outskirts of Leeds, and is looking to recruit a Estate Head Chef to oversee the food operations at the on-site Gastro pub, which has a quality head chef in place, alongside putting plans and structures in place for the estate hall which will be looking to launch in early 2025, with nose-to-tail cooking, fire feast cooking, the short let lodges on the estate and using the estate livestock and the on-site walled gardens for produce.
This is a multi-faceted role for an experienced head chef, ideally with experience working within a country estate, or a multi-outlet large country hotel, with events experience & development essential.
This is a great opportunity for a talented & driven Head Chef to really push on with their career, this is a superb opportunity for the right chef to come into this venue and really take the estate food operations to the next stage for the enthusiastic independent owners.
You will be currently working within a fresh food led kitchen as an executive head chef or head chef in a multi-outlet kitchen, or ideally within an estate setting with experience working to a 2 rosette or Michelin standard & also have experience in high-quality banqueting. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in a similar standard of kitchen and have experience managing in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal head chef candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience working in a multi-rosette venue
Proven history of working within banqueting or events to a high standard
Butchery and nose-to-tail cooking would be an advantage
Excellent kitchen management, from H&S to HACCP, wastage control, labour costs & menu costing
Spot on knowledge of seasonal produce, and knowledge of local suppliers is key
The skills, knowledge & desire to enthuse chefs to push themselves for perfection every day
In return, my client is offering a fantastic salary of £55,000+ over a 5-day week & the opportunity to be supported by an independent company looking to build something very special.
