You would be joining the consulting team at an exciting time as we strengthen and grow our six solutions: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our team of experts work collaboratively to provide tailored and client-centric solutions, delivering a premium service through every interaction, giving our clients confidence as they build sustainable, future-fit businesses.

RSM is seeing significant demand for its ESG and Sustainability services from a wide range of clients in the market. The firm has already invested significantly in its capability and we are now seeking to further enhance the team.

We are seeking an experienced assurance professional who is specialised in ESG and Sustainability that wants to work in a team of both assurance and consulting specialisms. We will also consider candidates with a strong audit background and a passion to work within Sustainability and ESG.

You'll make an impact by:

• Working with partners and directors to help win ESG limited assurance projects.
• Working on client engagements to opine on limited assurance over client ESG metrics.
• Delivering ESG assurance engagements and bringing the business and commercial skills required for these projects to be successful.
• Working as part of a diverse team and closely with clients, establishing trust, credibility, and building effective relationships.
• Being involved in non-financial assurance/ESG assurance engagements that have delivered value to the organisations you’ve worked with and having a good grounding in the approaches and methodologies behind them.

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

• Experience within a non-financial or financial assurance role.
• A strong academic record: preferably with a sustainability or business-focus and ideally to post-graduate level.
• Financial reporting and/or experience in ESG/Sustainability reporting frameworks, for example, Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) or Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
• Management reporting/ESG improvement initiatives.
• Assurance of non-financial or ESG data to the ISAE 3000/3410 standards.
• Excellent spoken and written communication, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• ACA or MBA/MSC in an ESG/Sustainability subject/discipline or a relevant post-graduate qualification, such as the CFA’s certificate in ESG investing, or other leading accountancy or business advisory qualification.
