Are you an experienced, hands-on ERP Implementation Manager looking for a challenging contract role within a global leader in the advanced manufacturing and engineering sector?

We are partnering with a prestigious organisation embarking on a critical business transformation project. They require a driven and pragmatic ERP Implementation Manager to lead the end-to-end deployment of a new ERP system (Dynamics 365).

This is an exceptional opportunity to shape a crucial implementation, working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure a successful rollout.

The Role:

Based primarily in Farnborough (approx. 60% onsite presence required, with flexibility), you will be responsible for the full implementation lifecycle. This is a hands-on role requiring a "doer" mentality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the end-to-end implementation of the new ERP system.
  2. Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  3. Establish and facilitate project steering committees and governance structures.
  4. Work with stakeholders to create selection criteria, procure RFP's, review proposals and onboard suppliers.
  5. Drive clear and effective communication across all business levels, ensuring stakeholder engagement and buy-in.
  6. Take a hands-on approach to managing configuration, data migration strategy, testing phases, and go-live activities.
  7. Focus specifically on modules impacting manufacturing operations, including inventory management.
  8. Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
  9. Collaborate with technical teams and business users to ensure the solution meets requirements.

What You'll Need:
  1. Proven track record as an ERP Implementation Manager, successfully delivering full-lifecycle projects (initiation to post-go-live).
  2. Strong experience with ERP systems within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment is essential.
  3. Significant experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is highly desirable.
  4. Demonstrable ability to create detailed project plans, manage scope, and control budgets/timelines.
  5. Experience establishing and managing project governance (e.g., steering committees).
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging from shop floor to senior management.
  7. A proactive, hands-on approach - you're not afraid to get involved in the detail.
  8. Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly inventory management.
  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; experience in start-up-like settings is beneficial.
  10. Must be eligible to work in the UK and capable of obtaining BPSS+ security clearance (process will be managed).
