JR277: Equipment Maintenance Technician

Location: Towcester

Salary: OTE £40,500 - £47,250 Per Annum

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine preventive maintenance on reactors and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal disruption.
  2. Assist with exhaust filter and system maintenance, as well as gas cylinder changes.
  3. Maintain a high level of physical fitness to carry breathing apparatus and pass a lung function test.
  4. Conduct electrical Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) - training provided.
  5. Manage the control, handling, and disposal of chemicals, gases, and spare parts, including chemical fills and deliveries.
  6. Prepare for preventive maintenance tasks and system cleaning.
  7. Assist in diagnosing and repairing processing and ancillary equipment.
  8. Support engineers with project work and take ownership of assigned projects where qualified.
  9. Work independently on a variety of tasks following documented procedures, with minimal supervision.
  10. Assist with logistical operations, including equipment relocation, cleanroom reorganization, and parts shipping.
  11. Foster a collaborative work environment and promote teamwork across departments.

Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Self-motivated and able to work independently while thriving in a team environment.
  2. Mechanical maintenance engineering experience.
  3. Basic electrical knowledge of both systems and safety.
  4. Willingness to work overtime during shutdowns or major maintenance periods.
  5. Physically fit.
  6. Full UK Driving Licence.
  7. Strong communication skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
  8. Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
