Responsibilities

• Cares for and assesses patient pre and post catheterization.
• Assists physician and senior department personnel in conducting invasive tests and procedures by preparing equipment and patient for exam, monitoring patient's vital signs and electrocardiograph data, administers medications under physician's supervision and attending to patient's needs under minimal supervision and according to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through either American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in CCU, ICU or Cardiac Care preferred.
• Frequently exposed to blood and/or body fluids or potentially infective materials.
• Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement.

Education

Required: Associates or better in Nursing.

Experience

Required: Minimum of one-year experience in CCU, ICU or Cardiac Care.
