Calderdale’s climate action is a huge team effort across the whole Council and the whole Borough. We are nationally recognised as leading the way, having won the ‘Leadership in responding to the climate emergency’ category at the prestigious MJ Local Government Achievement Awards in June 2024. We are now recruiting an Environmental Project Officer to help deliver our work.
The successful applicant will work to deliver projects, support others, and improve policy. The Calderdale Climate Action Plan guides priorities and local action. We are looking for someone who is adept at forming relationships and influencing others, presenting, building a business case for change, and managing data and performance.
If you have a track record in developing and delivering environmental improvements in a business or corporate environment, we would like to hear from you.
This role will offer the successful candidate experience in working on a diverse range of sustainability topics with support from senior managers and innovative communities. Strong community and Council ambition climate action makes Calderdale an exciting place to work.
Employees of the Council enjoy a comprehensive reward and benefits package, which includes generous terms and conditions of employment and access to a wide range of retail discounts and lifestyle savings to name a few.
