Environmental Operative

SHIFT PATTERN: 4 on 4 off, 38.5 hours per week

PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour

As an Environmental Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the cleanliness and sustainability of our clients' facilities. You will work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and provide customized solutions to meet those needs. With a strong focus on environmental stewardship, you will contribute to creating a safe and healthy working environment for our clients and their employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify and address environmental issues such as waste management, recycling, water conservation, and energy efficiency
• Implement and monitor sustainable practices, including waste reduction, recycling programs, and energy-efficient initiatives
• Assist in the development and implementation of environmental policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and deliver environmental training programs
• Respond to and resolve environmental concerns and emergencies in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to environmental initiatives and activities

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role within the facilities services industry
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including standing, walking, and lifting heavy objects
• Valid driver's license
