You will have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Environmental Health, or equivalent, and the Royal Environmental Health Institute Diploma or other professional body qualifications.
You will work in the Food and Health & Safety Team in the Regulatory Services Section. You will be required to undertake the full range of food law activities, occupational health and safety interventions, and respond to licensing applications.
You will have general experience in all fields of Environmental Health, preferably with specialist knowledge in food safety and health and safety. You will have good communication skills (both oral and written), good computer and presentation skills, and IT/analytical skills. You will have good report writing skills and the ability to deal with conflict. You will have the ability to work as part of a team, on your own initiative, and to deadlines with minimum supervision. Additionally, you will be able to deal methodically and innovatively with problems to achieve a positive outcome. You will be willing to work varied and flexible hours as required.
