Our client in Sussex is seeking a skilled and experienced Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner to oversee caravan site licensing activities.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the inspection and regulation of residential and holiday caravan sites, ensuring compliance with legislative standards.
Rate circa £40-£46 Per Hour
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Regulation:
Conduct inspections of residential and holiday caravan sites to assess compliance with relevant legislation and licensing conditions.
Provide advice to site operators to improve standards and address areas of non-compliance.
Complaint Investigation:
Investigate complaints related to caravan sites, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Maintain accurate records of complaint investigations and actions taken.
Fit and Proper Person Assessment:
Assess applications for fit and proper person status under the Mobile Homes (Fit and Proper Person) Regulations.
Evaluate evidence and prepare reports for decision-making purposes.
Enforcement Actions:
Issue compliance notices where necessary to address breaches of site licence conditions.
Prepare evidence for and attend court or tribunal proceedings to support enforcement actions.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively with colleagues, site operators, and other stakeholders.
Provide clear and professional communication, including written reports and oral presentations.
