Job Description

Working a hybrid style, you will be based at home and office at 5 City Square. You will work full time, 37 hours per week. Consideration will be given to newly qualified applicants. Requirements

You will have a BSc (Hons) Degree in Environmental Health, or equivalent, and the Royal Environmental Health Institute Diploma or other professional body qualifications.

Responsibilities

You will work in the Food and Health & Safety Team in the Regulatory Services Section. You will be required to undertake the full range of food law activities, occupational health and safety interventions, and respond to licensing applications.

The Individual

You will have general experience in all fields of Environmental Health, preferably with specialist knowledge in food safety and health and safety. You will possess good communication skills (both oral and written), good computer and presentation skills, as well as IT/analytical skills and good report writing skills. You will have the ability to deal with conflict and work as part of a team, work on your own initiative, meet deadlines with minimal supervision, and approach problems methodically and innovatively to achieve a positive outcome. You will be willing to work varied and flexible hours as required.
