JOB PURPOSE:

The candidate must be able to show experience in working in a local authority regulatory capacity for housing and ideally pollution control work including HHSRS assessments of dwellings, HMO licensing, and investigating complaints of poor standards of accommodation. The assessment for statutory nuisance from residential, commercial and industrial sites would be an advantage. The candidate needs to be able to manage a wide ranging case load and be responsive to customer requests and provide updates both verbally and via written report. The candidate must be proficient with local authority IT, in this case knowledge of the Idox suite of software would be an advantage.

This is a local authority role suitable for someone in the environmental health, private sector housing, and housing enforcement fields. Working week to be days and hours to suit within Monday – Friday 0900-1700 with some flexibility into actual hours.
