Job Description:

RETTEW is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to fill an open Engineer 1 position to support our growing Municipal Team with environmental design for multi-disciplined water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Newly graduated professionals encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  1. Public and private sector environmental engineering design for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and treatment projects.
  2. Work includes basic to moderate complexity planning, design, and permitting for municipal clients.
  3. Perform basic design tasks including computations and analysis.
  4. Grant applications, plans, and funding research.
  5. Prepare portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents; assist with preparation of other engineering deliverables.
  6. Perform research and field investigations, collect data, and gather information or documents.
  7. Consult project team about regulations impacting projects; perform regulation research as needed.
  8. Ability to effectively present projects to clients and regulatory authorities.
  9. Client interaction and meeting participation.
  10. Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities.
Requirements
  1. BS in Civil Engineering.
  2. EIT certification is preferred.
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  4. AutoCAD Civil 3D & ArcGIS knowledge a plus.
  5. Ability to read and understand municipal specifications and regulations.
  6. Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices as necessary.
