Job description

A Leading Energy and Infrastructure Consultancy requires an experienced Environmental Consultant/Manager with site experience to join a small, dynamic Environmental and Sustainability Team for a Global Infrastructure Business.

The position is home based with trips to work within the Clients’ Management Team and on site when required/necessary. Travel and subsistence are part of the package. There are a number of site-based roles also.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Environmental Lead to ensure full environmental compliance on a legacy brownfield site, which will be redeveloped into a leading Global power facility; overseeing and ensuring that all site characterisation and other activities comply with environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.

You will be conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

1. Identify and document any potential environmental hazards or breaches of compliance.
2. Review Contractor work plans to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, standards and best practices.
3. Ensure all site activities comply with local and environmental laws and regulations.
4. Prepare detailed reports on environmental performance and incidents, and communicate findings to the Site Manager and Environmental Team.
