Job Description

As an Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will assist and support our engineering team on challenging and exciting water & wastewater projects (both public and private) in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This position is available in our Dover, DE office.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the design of system components and the coordination of multiple disciplines across a portfolio of major, moderate, and minor water/wastewater projects.
  2. Perform all design efforts in accordance with current regulations.
  3. Collaborate with clients, staff engineers, designers, and sub-consultants on multiple concurrent projects from planning through final design, construction, and commissioning.
  4. Assist in direction of project planning, budgeting, and establishing critical project objectives.
  5. Conduct site visits and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
  6. Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  7. Perform hydraulic modeling analysis.
  8. Support the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
  9. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field required.
  2. Strong interest in water and wastewater systems.
  3. 0-2 years of related civil design experience.
  4. AutoCAD and/or MicroStation skills desirable.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  6. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  7. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
  8. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
  9. Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices.
