Group Architecture (GA) is part of The Technology, Data & Innovation (TDI) division and plays a pivotal role in accelerating the delivery of a bank-wide simplified target architecture that enhances agility, increases technology speed-to-market, and reduces costs. To achieve these objectives, Group Architecture employs a range of activities that includes developing target architectures and roadmaps, implementing governance frameworks, deploying strategic tools, ensuring design discipline, and establishing policies and standards.

The Architecture Strategy team within Group Architecture is responsible for defining a target state architecture operating model, synthesising and tracking the bank's architecture strategy, building a digital architecture and management information system (A&MI), governing a definition of a target state architecture of the bank (blueprint), and ensuring the bank's architecture is optimised in terms of costs and functionality.

In the role of an Enterprise Architect specialist, you will be working as part of a small team on architecture strategy focused on driving architecture strategy outcomes such as cross-division target-states, assessing change programme compliance to target-states, and ensuring software license spend aligns with our technology strategy.

Your key responsibilities

• Assist the architecture strategy pillar lead in defining the architecture tooling strategy and blueprint.
• Work on specific architecture initiatives and deliverables such as defining cross-divisional target-states.
• Contribute to defining the strategic digital architecture framework and building a digital architecture and management information system (A&MI).
• Leverage architecture data to improve our architecture decision-making.
• Produce high-quality architecture reporting that becomes a standard/guideline across Group and Domain Architecture of the Bank.
• Encourage better ways of working, embedding architecture and design into our culture, and refining how we do architecture in the firm aligned to optimised ways of working.

Your skills and experience

• Experience in collaborating with stakeholders to document current states, develop target and transition architectures, and resulting business & technology roadmaps.
• Experience in architecture governance including defining and assessing compliance to architecture principles.
• Ability to summarise complex architecture/design related challenges in simple terms for senior management consumption.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
• Strong knowledge of ArchiMate modelling language.
• Practical data analysis including data extracting, cleaning, preparation, as well as data validation and reporting.
