To provide technology leadership and be responsible for the development, maintenance, communication and governance of the group technology strategy, architecture and roadmaps.
Setting an architectural approach which balances business strategy, industry direction, innovation and cost efficiency. They will influence executive stakeholders and support decisions which have significant impacts on the strategic direction of technology in the company.
- As part of the established Enterprise Architecture team, lead the technology strategy for data, supporting and aligning with the overall corporate business, data & digital strategy.
- Lead the overall development, maintenance, communication and implementation of the data strategy.
- Work closely with the Data and Analytics team to align with operational capabilities and provide thought leadership across Technology, with a specific focus on data.
- Provide architectural leadership to both business lead and technology lead transformation initiatives.
Quilter’s technology architect comprises key cloud SaaS applications, with Azure hosted data and digital capabilities. Quilter’s data platform leverages a Lakehouse architecture built upon Azure data lake and uses a series of Microsoft based data services. The data platform, along with operational data stores, provide the business with reporting, analytics and insights. The data platform continues to evolve and there is ambition in technology and the business to further enhance and gain business intelligence from this service.
There are several key business transformations ongoing at Quilter, all of which require Architectural and data leadership. The role will require engagement across several of these programmes and alignment with the wider technology strategy.

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven history of defining Enterprise architectures for medium to large organisations

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
- Broad knowledge of the financial services industry and key regulatory requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of business strategy, planning, financial analysis, marketing and operational processes
- Strong people skills, demonstrating a variety of influencing and stakeholder management styles to build sustainable relationships with business and IT teams from Executive through to technical levels
- Ability to take complex, multi-faceted ideas, objectives or problems and work with them through to simple solutions recognising synergies and options
