Salary: £85,000 - £105,000 plus generous bonus
Role Purpose
The primary focus of the role is to be the principal Enterprise Architect across the company application technology landscape (domain). This includes all our customer touch points, our commercial fulfilment and serve tech landscape. The role will be focused on owning the architectural roadmap for these areas, sharing opportunities to transform, consolidate & optimise, to drive customer, colleague & business benefit.
The role will require someone who has expert experience in Enterprise application architecture within an extremely complex retail landscape. The successful candidate will need to have excellent stakeholder management, communication & influencing skills, as you will be required to work across a range of teams (business & tech) and at all levels (incl. C-suite).
Required Skills & Experience
- Expert within their domain and can give guidance on which direction should be taken, whilst being appreciate of current and emerging technologies
- Experience of working within a complex technology transformation, within a significant retail business (or similar)
- Proven experience of developing a credible and practical target architecture for the domain, which supports the Business and IT strategy
- Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a focused, simple, and commercially relevant manner to a senior audience
- Exceptional influencing skills, with the ability to advise and recommend with real credibility at all levels and manage complex stakeholder relationships
- Proven critical analysis and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work alongside other Tech SMEs and the business to develop creative technology strategies for rapidly changing, highly ambiguous challenges and opportunities
- Considerable experience in Web UX Architecture, including but not limited to Adobe & Salesforce.
- Experience with SAP Technology and Ecosystem preferred
- Broad understanding of Micro Services and SOA in the Digital Age and appropriate standards, topologies
- Experience of POS online and within stores and PCI compliance
- Experience of introducing a Cloud First Approach with AWS, Azure or Google;
Certifications
- Degree educated in an IT or related discipline
- Several years of relevant Architecture experience
- Ideally 3 years or more Enterprise Architecture experience within the domain
- Certified in a relevant Enterprise Architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF)
