EYFS Teaching Assistant
9-Month-Plus Room & Nursery Wraparound Care
Grade 5 £25,584 - £27,711 pro rata
Temporary – required from 01/09/2025 until 31/08/2026
Full Time, Term Time Only + 2 Weeks

Are you a passionate and experienced early years practitioner looking for a new and exciting challenge? Chester-le-Street CE School is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic EYFS Grade 5 Teaching Assistant to help establish and lead our brand-new 9-Month-Plus Room within our thriving school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can demonstrate initiative, creativity, and a commitment to providing exceptional early years education in a nurturing environment.

About the Role:
  1. Term-time only position.
  2. You will play a key role in setting up and shaping our new 9-Month-Plus Room, creating an engaging and stimulating environment for our youngest learners.
  3. Responsible for delivering high-quality early years provision, ensuring the best outcomes for every child.
  4. Lead the Nursery Wraparound Care offer, starting at 8am and finishing at 5pm.
  5. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a warm, welcoming, and safe learning space.

What We Are Looking For:
  1. A qualified early years practitioner (must hold a full and relevant qualification in line with EYFS requirements).
  2. Experience working in a baby room and a deep understanding of the care and development needs of infants.
  3. Someone who takes initiative, is proactive in setting up engaging activities, and has a passion for early childhood education.
  4. A team player with excellent communication skills who can build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  5. A nurturing and dedicated professional who is committed to supporting the development of every child in their care.
