This post holder will be responsible for running and developing the Wirral Enhanced Recovery Programme (ERP).
The main duties are providing pre-operative education to patients in an assessment clinic, being a key contact for patients whilst on the Colorectal Unit and undertaking a telephone follow up clinic post discharge.
The post holder will use an electronic database to record and capture details relating to the patients journey which will support research and training.
The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning and delivery of nursing care for a named caseload of patients and includes nurse led discharges from the Colorectal Unit’s Enhanced Recovery bays.
The post holder will participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
