Location: York, North Yorkshire
Start Date: 28th April 2025
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (Until end of Summer Term)
Salary: Paid to scale in-line with MPS and UPS

Are you an enthusiastic English Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity this summer term? We’re currently seeking a qualified and committed Teacher of English to join the school from Monday 28th April 2025 on a full-time, temporary basis until the end of the academic year.

About the Role as a Teacher of English:

• Teach English Language and Literature to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (predominantly Years 7 to 10 with some Year 11 lessons until the exam period).
• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire a love for English.
• Assess pupil progress in line with the national curriculum.
• Foster a positive learning environment and manage behaviour confidently.

As the ideal Teacher of English, you should have:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
• Recent teaching experience within a UK secondary school setting.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality education.
• Committed to supporting the progress and wellbeing of every student.
