Start September

Pay GBP140.86 - GBP215 per day (depending on experience)

Location - Bognor

Hours - 8am 4PM

Temporary Full-time with the potential to become permanent

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team starting in September 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language, with the ability to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).

Responsibilities

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons.
2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
3. Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives.
4. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
5. Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school events and activities.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational best practices and developments.

Requirements

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. A degree in English or a related field.
3. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Commitment to continuous professional development.

Desirable

1. Experience teaching English at the GCSE and A-Level.
2. Familiarity with the latest educational technology and methods.
3. Enthusiasm for extracurricular activities, particularly in literature and the arts.

Additional Requirements:

• Current valid DBS or the willingness to obtain one
