English Teacher
Location:Sheffield
Salary Range:£115 to £240 per day (depending on experience)
Starting:October 2024 (Half-term)
Status:Full-time

Job Summary of English Teacher:
As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in developing students' language skills and love for literature. Your primary responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills across various genres and formats. You will assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and improvement.

Job Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

  • Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for the betterment of the English curriculum.
  • Participate in school events and dramas to enrich the student experience.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications of an English Teacher:

  • Must have experience with QTS, QLTS, or PGCE.
  • A qualified teacher with a passion for English literature and language.
  • Experienced candidates in the relevant field will be preferred.
  • Must have a relevant degree in the field of English or a related discipline.
  • Passion for committing to supporting student welfare and progress.
  • Must have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service for safeguarding purposes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students of all abilities.
