Location: Tower Hamlets
Salary: £185 - £265 per day
Start Date: Easter 2025

GSL Education London Branch are looking for an English Teacher to join a vibrant co-educational comprehensive secondary school and sixth form in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving English department.

Responsibilities of an English Teacher:

  1. Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  2. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  3. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Support students in developing their reading, writing, and communication skills.
  5. Work closely with colleagues to develop and improve the English curriculum.
  6. Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.
  7. Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements for an English Teacher:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
  3. Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
  4. Excellent classroom management skills.
  5. Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
  6. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
