Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English to join the permanent staff of a large, well-established secondary school in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire and engage students in English, fostering a love for literature and language.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach at Key Stage 5.
• Plan, prepare, and assess work to ensure students make excellent progress.
• Contribute to the wider English department, supporting curriculum development and extra-curricular activities.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and engagement, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related subject.
• A strong track record (or potential) of excellent teaching practice.
• A passion for English and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student achievement.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a supportive and dynamic team.
